Tax rates that are already right
Pick your country once. US users pick a state and get the right sales tax; Canadian users pick a province and get the correct GST plus PST, QST or HST combination. Nobody has to look up a rate table.
Invoices, estimates and credit notes can be produced — on screen, as a PDF or printed — in English, French or Spanish. Set it per business or override it on a single document, so a Montréal customer gets a French invoice while your own app stays in English.

What we left out on purpose
Each of these needs a server that holds your data and your customers’ data. We don’t run one, so we can’t offer them — and we’d rather say so here than let you find out after you’ve moved a year of books across.
Card payments: your customer still taps and pays
Every invoice carries a Pay now link and a QR code printed on the PDF, so your customer points a phone at it and pays by card or Apple Pay on the spot.
The money goes through your own Stripe, PayPal Business or Square account — the processor’s fee is the only fee, we never see a card number, and if you leave the app the payment setup is still yours because it was always your account.
The rest, in short:

The short version: we don’t hold your data, so we also can’t hold your customer’s card number — the processor does, which is where it belongs. What is Invoice Vault?

Who is Invoice Vault for?

Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up screen, no email address and no password. Install the app and start invoicing. Unlike an online invoice generator, nothing you type is uploaded to a website.
Does Invoice Vault work offline, without internet?
Yes. Everything is stored in a local database on your phone or tablet, so you can create invoices, record expenses and run reports with no internet connection. The network is only used when you choose to back up, send an invoice, or use an online payment link.
Where is my data stored, and how do I back it up?
Your data stays on your device, behind Face ID, fingerprint or a PIN. Backups go to your own iCloud or Google Drive, only when you tell the app to back up. We do not run a server that holds your invoices or customer list.
Can I send estimates and turn them into invoices?
Yes, it works as an estimate app too. Estimates (also called quotes) have their own numbering and convert to an invoice in one tap. You can take a deposit, record partial payments, set up recurring invoices, and schedule overdue reminders.
Does Invoice Vault scan receipts?
Yes. The built-in receipt scanner reads the total and the store name from a photo of a receipt and fills in the expense for you to check. It works on iPhone, iPad and Android, and the photo is read on your phone, so it never leaves the device. On Android it uses Google’s on-device ML Kit, which sends Google basic technical statistics such as the device model and app version, never the photo or its text. It’s a handy receipt scanner for business expenses and tax time.
Can my customers pay by credit card?
Yes. Connect your own Stripe, PayPal Business or Square account and every invoice carries a pay link and a QR code on the PDF. The money goes straight to your account, and Invoice Vault never sees a card number.
Does it handle sales tax, GST and HST?
Yes. Pick your country once: US sales tax by state, and Canadian GST with the right PST, QST or HST for your province, are built in — along with UK VAT and Australian and New Zealand GST. Anywhere else, you set your own rate. Invoices can be produced in English, French or Spanish.
